Healthy thriving communities depend on involved citizens and local businesses for momentum. We lend our support and services to causes that promote economic development, civic pride,  and revitalization. Every community has its own challenges, and we strive always to be part of problem-solving initiatives.

Feed My Starving Children- This 2024 holiday season, a group of our Skyline employees wanted to volunteer their time to Feed My Starving Children. They had a blast packing boxes filled with meals to send to children all over the world!

Princeton Tiger Club Daycare Program- Skyline visited some of the employees hometown of Princeton, Mn and donated Skyline sunglasses and $500 gift card for school supplies, toys and activities for the kids along with a fun afternoon of ice cream, and colored hair spray at the park!

Feed My Starving Children- Skyline got to be apart of helping 92 kids in Colombia stay fed for about a year and our group packed 156 boxes!

Meals on Wheels- Skyline donated their time to a local charity called Meals on Wheels. You bring local members of the community their meals.

The Avivo Project- Skyline had the opportunity to donate their time and labor to help renovate four apartments at the Avivo Apartment Complex in just four days. The Avivo Apartment Complex is a home to women and their children who participate in Avivo’s family treatment program. Housing is critical for mothers to focus on recovery, going back to school, and finding employment. The major renovations done to these apartments which include; new cabinets, appliances, lighting, flooring, trim, fresh paint and fully remodeled bathrooms; will provide a better quality of living to help Avivo’s women and children achieve their goals of life-long wellness and success. Skyline and our construction partners were happy to be able and to demonstrate our ability to renovate apartments quickly efficiently and to further our belief in the benefits of quality and safe housing for everyone.

Packing Seeds for Haiti- Skyline partnered with Brooklyn Center Rotary Club to sort and pack seeds to send over to families in need in Haiti. It took us a few weeks, but we went through and sorted hundreds of seed packets and sent them over. We were so excited to receive the pictures of the families with all the fruits and vegetables they had grown from our shipment.

Yes I Can- Skyline helped donate super hero t-shirts and sunglasses to Garden City Elementary for their #Yesican pep rally! The purpose of this pep rally was to help motivate students to have a “can do” attitude and achieve great things as the bright futures of Brooklyn Center.

Garden City Family COVID-19 Relief Fund- Skyline donated to the GoFundMe page for the many Garden City Elementary families that need financial support during this time of the COVID-19 virus. Over 80% of the families at Garden City are receiving free or reduced priced lunch, which means they were already living at or below the poverty level. Over 90% of the students at Garden City are students of color. In addition to this, close to 60% of our families are multilingual (speak another language at home). Sadly, the COVID-19 virus disproportionately impacts our families. Across the nation, as reported by all major news outlets, the COVID-19 virus is magnifying the struggles of students and families of color, immigrants, homeless, highly mobile families, and families living in poverty. These challenges have existed for years, but this virus is making the struggle exponentially harder for Garden City families.

Skyline Hearts in the Window Contest- We were so happy to see how many of our residents participated in the Hearts in the Window contest. Everyone did such an amazing job and got very creative with their displays.

Brooklyn Park Rec On The Go- Skyline is a huge supporter of Rec On The Go! It’s a youth program through Brooklyn Park that offers different activities to our community’s youth to engage, entertain and educate them. We happily participated in their free meal delivery program they set up for youths at our community. We hope to do it again next year!

Skyline Charity Donation 2020- At the beginning of 2020, Skyline picked 3 charities that our current and future tenants could vote between throughout the year (Ronald McDonald House, Homes For Our Troops, and The Marine Mammal Center) and at the end of the year, Skyline would make a donation to the charity with the most votes. Ronald McDonald House was our 2020 charity winner! We want to give a big thanks to everyone who participated in voting for this great foundation!

Skyline Charity Donation 2021- Skyline made a donation to the Brooklyn Center Fire Department as they were raising money to purchase bullet proof vests for their first responders. As members of the Brooklyn Center community, our motto is “we wish to protect those who protect us”.

Skyline Tenant Appreciation Ice Cream Party- Skyline wanted to show our tenants how much we value and appreciate them calling our properties home by throwing an ice cream party! There were games, prizes, and most importantly ice cream. We enjoyed spending our afternoon with our wonderful tenants and can’t wait to do it again!

Loaves & Fishes 2022- Every year Skyline likes to donate time to local charities or organizations to help the surrounding communities. This year, we had the opportunity to volunteer at our local church (Brooklyn United Methodist Church) and make meals to give to members in the Brooklyn Center/Brooklyn Park area. In total, we created and handed out over 74 meals. It was a great day for all!
